PRINTING FROM AN iPAD
Just because you have an iPad, doesn't mean you can't print. A paperless classroom is a great goal to have, but it is difficult to achieve overnight. Here are a few ways that you can print something that you created on an iPad.
1. Email - It is often possible to email the results of your endeavors from the iPad. So, you can email it to a laptop or desktop computer that does have access to your school printers.
2. Printing to the Marist photocopiers: ("Visual Guide")
1. Download the following app from the the app store:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ricoh-smart-device-print-scan/id702774332?mt=8
2. After it has downloaded, open the app and select “Settings”
3. Select “Devices”
This page will be blank at first. Select “Search Devcs.
4. Choose “Search Devices” under Search on Bonjour
You will likely see two available printers.
RICOH Aficio MP 6001
RICOH Aficio 907EX
5. Add both.
You will have to retrace your steps after adding the first. IF one or both printers don’t show up in your list let Chris or Andy know and they will give you directions and addresses to add the printers manually.
6. Ricoh Print and Scan should now appear as an “open in” option for all your documents. When you want to print something, you will open the document then choose the “Share/Open-in” button and select Ricoh Print and Scan. Your document will open in the Ricoh App and from there you navigate to the printer you want to print to.
2.5 PrinterPro - There are a number of apps that promise to help with making your iPad more compatible with printers. An app already installed on your Marist iPad that should help you print to all networked printers at Marist is called Printer Pro by Readdle. This app also allows you to convert webpages and other files into PDF's. In addition, if you install Readdle's desktop app to your computer you can print to nearly any printer connected to your computer.

Also, many printer manufacturers have their own apps. Try searching for them in the app store, but be aware that they do not work with all printers.
3. AirPrint Printers - A number of Wi-Fi printers are designated as AirPrint printers. This means that they will be compatible with iOS devices. Canon, HP, Brother, Epson and other manufacturers have AirPrint printers. Find out more here.
